Client FAQ

1. How long will I be on the SCRAM or EHM program?

HomeBound Services has no governing authority to decide when you are placed on and removed from the SCRAM and/or EHM programs. This is completely dependent upon your individual case. Please direct this question to your supervising court.

2. How much does SCRAM cost?

The SCRAM program has a one time $50 install fee. The daily monitoring costs $12 per day. Please see our full explanation of billing and payment structure.

3. How much does EHM cost?

The EHM cell program has a one time $50 install fee. The daily monitoring costs $18 per day.

The EHM landline program has a one time $50 install fee. The daily monitoring costs $15 per day.

Please see our full explanation of billing and payment structure.

4. Can I swim while wearing the SCRAM or EHM bracelet?

In short: NO

The bracelets are water resistant, not water proof. You can not fully submerge the bracelet in water (i.e. hot tubs, bath, pool, lake, etc.). If you choose to fully submerge your bracelet and cause water damage you will be financially liable for the full cost of the bracelet ($1,400).

5. Can I go in a tanning bed / steam room / sauna while wearing the SCRAM or EHM bracelet?

In short: NO

The bracelets are not able to withstand the high heat.

6. Can I remove the bracelet myself after the judge has granted my release from the program?

In short: NO

You are required to call HomeBound Services after you have been released from the program. At that time you will come into the office with your modem and all additional equipment given to you at time of hook up. After confirming the removal with your supervising court, a HomeBound Services staff member will remove the bracelet. If you choose to cut the bracelet off yourself you will be financially liable for the cost of the bracelet strap ($300).
