Pioneer Human Services

Job training and placement programs available in the following areas:

• Manufacturing
  Jump Start, Basic Measuring tools, Basic Blueprint, Boeing Blueprint, and a series of Soft Skills designed to enhance work ethic, communication and personal development.
• Food Services
  Employees receive state food worker permit training, and participates in a structured, competency-based On-the-Job program. This program is based upon the National Restaurant Association's "ServSafe" program. ServSafe is the food service industry "best practices" standard for food safety and sanitation.
• Distribution Services
  Classes include comprehensive training in packaging and warehousing. Subjects include Math, Communication, and Forklift Driver Certification. English as a Second Language (ESL) is taught on site.

Other Training

• Management and Supervisory
  Sessions are offered in Supervisory Training at the Introductory and Advanced levels. Other topics offered for training and development include employee relations, policies and procedures and safety awareness. Individual coaching for performance improvement is also offered.
• Tuition Reimbursement
  Full time employees are encouraged to continue their professional development. Pioneer offers a subsidized tuition reimbursement program for college classes at accredited institutions.
• Literacy Program
  Pioneer Human Services, in partnership with Washington State, offers Workplace Literacy Skills at Distribution Services, and upon request, at other locations.
• Safety
  Pioneer offers programs in Forklift Operating, Defensive Driving and CPR/First Aid.
